Oral Hygiene

Good oral hygiene is more than brushing your teeth — it's the system of habits that protects your teeth, gums, and overall health. We coach every patient through a routine that fits their life.

Oral Hygiene

Your daily routine

Two minutes of brushing, twice daily, with a soft-bristled brush and fluoride toothpaste; once-a-day flossing or interdental cleaning; and a quick tongue clean to keep bacteria from regrowing in your mouth overnight.

Common mistakes

Brushing too hard (it damages gums and enamel), brushing right after acidic foods (wait 30 minutes), and skipping floss are the biggest three. A small change to any of these often shows up at your next visit.
