Dental veneers are very thin custom-made thin porcelain that covers shaped and scraped teeth that fit over the forward facing part of the tooth to mask severe staining, cracking or misalignment. Depending on the case, veneers are often used to help correct misalignment or may also give the teeth a whiter appearance.
Dental veneers are similar in principle to false finger nails but the placement procedure is somewhat more detailed and does involve removal of a small layer of tooth to accommodate the veneer. When it comes to veneers, it is important to maintain proper oral care and hygiene.
